An Anthropocentric Universe
Oh boy, I hate how much this looks like that Avatar movie from a few years ago. Can't have anyone with bluish skin in a sci-fi setting without looking that way. Oh well, this is just a preliminary "sketch" to future manipulations under this 'girl in space' idea. The idea is to show a portrait of a person in a intimate, almost macro, proximity while set up against a micro-macro backdrop. She is larger than the stars themselves; yet we know that a person is far smaller than the balls of gas burning in far off worlds. This contrast illustrates this mentality of the anthropocentric universe. I hope to expand about this idea in future works.

This was enlarged when I clicked to view it. So the first thing I see is stars and I'm thinking, "Oh, this is pretty!" Then I get to the dude and just see his eye and jumped slightly. It was like "Oh! There's a man! Didn't see that coming." 
But seriously, this is awesome. I always love viewing your art. 
And he does not look like Avatar. Just looked like a blue man to me....now I got the song "Blue" by Eiffel 65 stuck in my head .
